KABUL, Jan. 27 – According to the Anatolian News Agency, a train carrying around 750 tons of humanitarian aid left from the Turkish capital Ankara to Afghanistan, The donations were collected by 11 aid agencies in coordination with the tate Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).

The aid departure ceremony was attended by Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adel Karaismailoglu and the head of a Turkish religious organization, Professor Ali Arbash.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adel Kara said that Turkey has always stood by the people of Afghanistan, providing humanitarian assistance through two trains consisting of 47 wagons and carrying about 750 tons of aid to reach Afghanistan via Iran and Turkmenistan.

Adil Kara said the train would arrive in Afghanistan in 16 days, while Turkish Interior Minister said that about 13 million children in Afghanistan are in urgent need of winter aid. He added that Turkey has sent more humanitarian aid to Afghanistan over the past four years, adding that although the United States and Europe are rich countries, Turkey will always stand by the people of Afghanistan.

The friendly train, which includes food, clothing, blankets, hygiene equipment and antiseptic, is scheduled to reach Afghanistan after covering a distance of 4168 km.

The aid comes at a time when the United States has frozen Afghanistan’s $ 10 billion assets and plunged the country into a major crisis.
