Over 40 puppets killed, dozens injured in country’s south; several posts seized

GHAZNI, Apr. 12 – Al-Emarah News says over 20 joint enemy personnel have been killed following full-scale operation that led to dismantling 3 of the enemy posts and taking over the administrative district building and police headquarters in Khwaja Omari district of southern Ghazni province last night.

The district governor, district police chief and other officers were among those killed while several dozens more are reported to have suffered fatal injuries in last night’s operation.

Three Mujahideen fighters are said to have been martyred and a further four wounded in last night’s operation in the aforesaid district of Ghazni province.

Likewise, Mujahideen seized control of the 3 more combat posts from the enemy during a 3-hour long fighting last night in Maqur district of Ghazni province, leading to the death of 17 puppets whereas a further 11 sustained wounds.

A tank was also destroyed after coming under rocket fire, while 2 Mujahideen embraced martyrdom with 2 more wounded in last night’s fighting.

Separately, 2 policemen were killed with a vehicle destroyed in a clash with Mujahideen in the provincial capital of Ghazni province on Wednesday.

Also Wednesday, an unknown number of the enemy soldiers suffered casualties with a supply truck and 2 tanks destroyed following Mujahideen attack on the enemy supply convoy in Shalgar district of Ghazni province.

A policeman was killed and 2 more were wounded in a separate attack elsewhere in the said district on Wednesday.
