KANDAHAR, July. 31 – At around 11:00 pm local time yesterday Islamic Emirate Mujahideen assaulted 2 ANA check posts in Band Taimor’s Haji Khelo area, Maiwand district, amid ongoing Omari annual campaign. Attack in which heavy and light arms were used resulted in both check posts overrun after a brief resistance, killing 20 puppets inside and forcing the rest to flee. According to details 5 PKM machine guns, 2 RPGs, 4 AKs, 1 American sniper gun, 1 SPG-9 tube, 1 heavy machine gun, 15000 AK and PKM rounds, 700 RPG rounds and other war spoils were confiscated in the successful operation.
