Over 20 killed and wounded as offensive repelled in Badghis

BADGHIS, Aug. 20 – At around 7:00 am early morning today, heavy clashes erupted against enemy troops arriving Joy Kunj area of Marghab district for retaking a check post that was overrun by Mujahideen yesterday.
Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted till noon hours, killing 12 puppets and leaving 2 other wounded as well as forcing the res to flee.
Likewise, at least 4 ASF and 1 ANP gunmen were killed with 3 others wounded after they came under a roadside bomb blast in the said district’s Bazar area afternoon hours today.
Enemy as usual has targeted innocent civilians by mortar rounds, leaving 2 women martyred, 2 girls and another man wounded.
