KUNDUZ, Oct. 03 – Officials reporting from northern Kunduz province say that Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate launched coordinated attacks from 4-axis on the capital city, also named Kunduz, early morning hours today.
Mujahideen have entered Chela Bazaar, Kandak Inayat and Khwaja Mashad areas from the direction of Khanabad Bandar while also taking over Nawabad, Old Za Khel and New Za Khel areas of the city from direction of Kabul Bandar and overrunning 7 check posts, killing and wounding dozens of gunmen in the process and seizing military equipment.
Officials add that the enemy has lost morale and are on the run while Mujahideen are continuing their rapid advance towards the main intersection of the city.
This comes on the heels of Mujahideen completely taking over Nawa district administration buildings, police HQ and all the surrounding check posts, tightening the siege of capital Lashkargah even further.
