Killing of Civilians in Mirza Olang Baseless

Official and unofficial media outlets of the stooge Kabul Administration have started hues and cries for the past one week that the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate have killed 52 people including women and children in addition to damaging public properties in Mirza Olang area of Sar-e-Pul province. Media outlets linked to the stooge Administration also said that operation against the residents of Mirza Olang area was jointly conducted by Taliban and ISIS fighters. However, in reality, Daesh has no presence in the area nor have civilians been killed. These biased media outlets are flaring up this incident as they turn a blind eye to the killing of 16 civilians by invaders in Haska Mena of Nangarhar which has already been confirmed by officials and casualties to 16 other civilians due to mortar shelling by government troops in Dawlatabad district of Faryab province and the routine night raids on civilian homes.

The governor of the Islamic Emirate for Sar-e-Pul province, Attaullah Omari, has denied the allegations as being baseless, saying that only militia fighters under the name of Popular Uprising were killed in face to face fighting. He says that following capture of the area, he ordered Mujahideen to not even eat their food as it may cause annoyance for the residents. Only the houses of militia fighters (Arbakis) have been searched and their ammunition and weapons seized. Now, the local residents control the area while the Mujahideen are staying at their defensive lines in mountains. Similarly, the esteemed Attaullah Omeri has asked for impartial joint investigations. He says that our Shia brothers pass through the areas of the Islamic Emirate without any fear during day and night and graze their animals in each other’s pastures. Meanwhile, a Shia cleric Shiekh Salman has utterly rejected the allegations saying that he had visited Sayad district and met with the displaced families. All have said that Taliban have neither killed civilians nor detained anyone.

The fact is that the Cultural Commission of the Islamic Emirate has recently published video reports showing officials of the Islamic Emirate having Islamic and humane conduct with prisoners and other common people. Moreover, prisoners have been released by the Islamic Emirate unilaterally at various occasions. The enemy wants to overshadow the positive image of the Islamic Emirate and tarnish its reputation amongst the Afghan people and the world with such horrendous accusations.

It is worth mentioning that the Islamic Emirate is committed to the protection of life, property and honor of its people. For this purpose, they organize annual educational training seminars for their field commanders, where prominent Islamic scholars deliver lectures about good conduct with people and how to carry out Jihadic activities in light of the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Specific department and courts have been established in the organizational set-up of the Islamic Emirate for prevention of civilian causalities. Similarly, the esteemed leader of Islamic Emirate Hibatullah Akhundzada, who is himself a prominent Islamic scholar and Sheikh-ul-hadith, has instructed the Mujahideen in his last Eid message as follow:

“Bear in mind prevention of civilian casualties when you make plan of Jihadic operation as well as during its implementation………… harming life and property of people is against the rules of Sharia and the policy of the Islamic Emirate.”

The Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate are following the afore-mentioned policy in the country and are giving practical sacrifices for the protection of life, wealth and honor of the people.

We would like to call on our people and the independent media outlets to be aware of the conspiracies of the enemy and to verify such incidents with the concerned authorities of the Islamic Emirate. The enemy wants to flare racial and ethnical differences among the Afghans. This is a wicked conspiracy of the enemy. Let us all faith-loving and freedom-loving Afghans join efforts to foil this conspiracy.
