Kandahar-Kabul highway blocked in Zabul, 7 rangers destroyed

ZABUL, Oct. 07 – According to reports from Zabul province, Mujahideen have blocked Kandahar-Kabul highway in the surroundings of Shahr-e-Safa district and capital Qalat since last night.
An enemy convoy carrying reinforcement to Helmand province is under heavy Mujahideen attacks.
Mujahideen have spoiled several enemy offensive operations to reopen the rout, causing serious casualties.
Reports add, heavy clashes are under way against enemy troops arriving capital Qalat for reopening the rout.
Similarly, a hireling ranger pickup was destroyed by an IED attack in Abdul Aziz pump area of Shahr-e-Safa district early Thursday, and 5 more rangers in a Mujahideen attack while another one in Hazartak area by landmine attack, during which 2 puppets were also killed.
