KANDAHAR, Jul. 04 – Reports arriving from Zhari district say that an IED placed in Tangharhi desert struck a US tank (APC) last night as the invaders were accompanying a hireling convoy.
It is said that the powerful blast shred the APC to pieces, killing and wounding all the invaders inside.
Officials say that the invaders brought in a chinook helicopter to the scene around midday today to airlift the wreckage from the blast site however the chopper landed on another IED, leaving the helicopter completely destroyed as well as causing further casualties to the invaders.
The wreckages of both the APC and helicopter were airlifted by other choppers later today.
