The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan once again expresses its deepest condolences to the Muslim brethren of Turkiye and Syria who have suffered great casualties and damages in the recent powerful earthquake, with the numbers predicted to rise.

IEA stands in solidarity with its brothers and sisters in this time of hardship, and announces a relief package of AFN 10 million and AFN 5 million to Turkiye and Syria respectively on the basis of shared humanity and Islamic brotherhood.

It is worth mentioning that IEA emergency response and health teams
stand ready to participate in rescue operations to assist their Turkish and Syrian brothers and sisters if called upon.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also instructs its diplomatic mission in Turkiye to not spare any efforts in assisting the victims, while also urging Turkiye based Afghan citizens to help with the relief efforts.
