Equipment seized as 3 check posts overrun in Kandahar, 23 killed

KANDAHAR, Nov. 28 – According to reports from southern Kandahar province, amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen conducted attacks on enemy positions in Kotal Faj area of Naish district overnight.
Attacks of heavy and light arms resulted in 3 enemy check posts overrun forcing the enemy to flee leaving behind 23 corpses on the battle ground.
According to details, a ranger pickup, 2 motorbikes, 3 heavy machine guns, 2 RPG launchers, 19 AK rifles, 4 pistols, 4 communication radios and other military tools were recovered while 4 motorbikes destroyed.
As many as 3 Mujahideen were injured and 2 others martyred during the operation.
