KABUL, Jan. 26 – Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) says that it has distributed 100 million new banknotes to all the commercial banks of the country, in exchange for old banknotes from these banks.
Da Afghanistan Bank, as the central bank of the country, whose job is to design monetary policies and print and issue banknotes, has always tried to maintain reasonable monetary policies in the market, Present new banknotes and collect old banknotes in return, said a statement by DAB.
People have been complaining about the presence of old banknotes in the markets for some time, therefore Afghanistan Bank has started the process of issuing new banknotes to commercial banks.
The central Bank of Afghanistan asks the people of the country to consider the necessary measures to prevent the banknotes from aging prematurely, and by this means to play a positive role in protecting the national capital.
