Conferences on education held in country’s east

NANGARHAR, Dec. 23 – The Islamic Emirate’s seniors and officials of the commission of education & learning convened a conference Thursday in Ghani Khail district of Nangarhar province to stress the significance of higher education.

The participants included well-versed academia, renowned scholars and men of learning, prominent tribal elders and tribesmen, students teachers and principals of schools and Madaris.

Its aim was to highlight the importance of higher education in the country and to facilitate ways to help improve and promote education and work to together for the development and progress of the country.

The meetings began with recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran and many participants gave talks on different topics.

The emerging issues as well as the problems and challenges facing the Afghans were addressed and solutions to the issues and problems were offered during the meeting.

The officials and seniors of the commission and the experts and scholars presented their opinions and views to resolve the problems in the light of Islam in accordance with Quran and Hadith.

It was echoed that the Islamic Emirate will strive hard to safeguard the life and property of the people and will do everything it can do to provide them with all the possible facilities so as to help them live a smooth and comfortable life.

The participants, at the end, pledged their support to Islamic Emirate and vowed to offer full cooperation and assistance to keep up the good work side by side with the Islamic Emirate.

Finally, the meetings ended with the Dau (prayers).

Similar meeting had also taken place prior to above-mentioned conference Spin Ghar in district of this province.
