Poppy Eradication Issue Successfully Resolved in Badakhshan

According to a statement of Zabihullah Mujahid the conflict surrounding the eradication of poppy plantations in Badakhshan Province has been successfully resolved.

A delegation involved in the matter convened a meeting today in Faizabad, the provincial capital, where influential individuals and scholars of Badakhshan were present. Representatives from Draim and Ergo districts were also in attendance. During the meeting, a commitment was made by the people of Badakhshan to support the process of poppy removal and ensure that it proceeds without any disruptions.

Furthermore, measures will be taken to address the concerns of those who were affected during the recent protests, and steps will be taken to prevent any conflicts arising from this issue. The entire population of Badakhshan stands united in supporting the programs and efforts of the Islamic Emirate to combat the cultivation, production, and trafficking of narcotics.
