DAIKUNDI, Aug. 28 – Mujahideen carried out an attack on a hireling check post in Sang Shiekh area of Gizab district last midnight. Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted for about 3 hours, resulting in the post was overrun after a brief resistance, killing commander of the check post – Char Bagh – along with an infamous arbaki – Khar Malik – and other gunman while forcing the res to flee leaving corpses behind. A PKM machine gun, 4 Kalashnikovs, 2 communication radios and other tools were seized as war booty.
