PAKTIA, Jun. 26 – At least 9 puppets were killed and 6 others wounded in an hours-long gun battle following Mujahideen operation on the enemy posts in Ahmad Abad district of Paktia province on Sunday.
Two of the enemy posts are reported to have been dismantled in today’s fighting.
Meantime, Mujahideen got their hands on 1 PK ( a heavy antitank machine gun), 1 rocket propelled-grenade, 3 Kalashnikov rifles, 1 US-made small machine gun, a good deal of ammo and 1 motorbike.
Two Mujahideen are said to have been martyred in the operation.
In the province’s Ahmad Khail district, 6 enemy soldiers were injured in an exchange of fire with Mujahideen early Sunday.
In another report, an unknown number of the enemy soldiers suffered casualties with a vehicle destroyed in Zazi Aryub district of this province on Saturday.
