8 killed and wounded, large areas cleared in Farayb

FARYAB, Apr. 22 – Mujahideen carried out successful operations against enemy positions in Charmagar, Koparak and Larbazak areas of Balcheragh district earlier today.

Operation which continued till afternoon hours, overrunning all the above mentioned areas after killing 3 mercenaries and leaving 5 others wounded as well as arresting another while seizing 1 RPG launcher, 5 motorbikes besides other equipment.

2 Mujahideen are said to have been wounded and another one martyr during the operation.

In another report, a hireling trooper was shot and killed on the spot by a sniper in Dewan Khawana area of Almar district last night.
