HERAT, Aug. 25 – At around 5:00 am early this morning Mujahideen assaulted a hireling check post in Chokaw area of Gulran district, causing serious toll to enemy that are unknown yet. Later on an enemy reinforcement convoy arriving from Torghondi area came under a Mujahideen ambush that prompted heavy clashes, during which 2 hireling ranger pickups were destroyed, 3 policemen including commander Shabir were killed on the spot and 5 others deadly wounded.
