KANDAHAR, Aug. 03 – According to reports Mujahideen attacked an enemy convoy in Chino Karez area of Maiwand district overnight. Attack of heavy and light arms left 7 gunmen killed on the spot, an APC, 1 SPG-9 tube, 1 US rifle, 1 AK machine gun, 24 rounds of SPG -9, 30 rounds of RGP and 200 ammunition were seized. Mujahideen suffered no casualties in the operation. It is mention able 4 days ago at least 20 puppets were killed and 2 check posts overrun in a Mujahideen attack in Band Taimore area of the same district. Early this morning Mujahideen discovered a weapon depot inside on of the check post from which 60000 ammunition, 50 rounds of RPG launcher and 40 rounds of medium range mortar tube have been seized.
