HELMAND, Aug. 09 – Reports say as many early morning today as 3 enemy bases in Tangano Godar, police station in Loye Killi, 5 check posts in Shaglan Sarak and a check post close to Bolan area were overrun as a result of Mujahideen attacks, killing and wounding several gunmen inside, as well as taking a large area under control. Many APCs, ranger pickup, reinforcement vehicle, heavy and light weapons and a large amount of ammunition were seized. Currently the said district HQ is said to be under heavy attack of Mujahideen. Further details of operation will be updated later.
