KABUL, Nov. 09 – A 220 KV power transmission line project was inaugurated, extending from Arghandi Substation to Syed Abad District in Maidan Wardag Province, says Ministry of energy and water in a statement.

The project was officially inaugurated in the presence of the Acting Minister of Energy and Water, H.E Alhaj Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor the Director General of Afghanistan’s National Power Utility Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), Honorable Mawlawi Muhammad Hanif Hamza, the Operating Director of DABS, Honorable Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Rahmani, the Commercial Director of DABS, Honorable Momin Bismel, and several other officials from DABS and the Ministry of Energy and Water.

Officials from Afghanistan’s national power utility (DABS) stated during the opening ceremony that there are plans to extend this electricity to Ghazni and other provinces in the future. It is worth noting that the residents of Syed Abad district in Maidan Wardag province will benefit from this project, resolving their issues with a lack of electricity.
