2 school children martyred by enemy shelling, 9 wounded

Reports arriving from eastern Laghman province say that at around 08:00 am this morning, enemy troops began shelling Basram area of the capital Mehtarlam with mortars during which one round struck a school and another a civilian home.

Officials and witnesses say that 2 innocent school children and a woman from the civilian compound were martyred while 8 other school students and a teacher were wounded, surely to Allah we belong and to Him is the return.

The locals later organized a protest in the capital and chanted anti-hireling slogans in front of the governor compound.
