2 posts overrun in Shawalikot, 7 killed

KANDAHAR, Dec. 24 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen carried out coordinated assaults of heavy and light arms on 2 enemy outposts on capital Tarinkot road in Mano area of Shawalikot district overnight, resulting in the enemy was forced to flee leaving 7 corpses on the battle ground.
2 AK rifles, 1 RPG launcher with 15 rounds, 5 rifles, 4 mortar tubes, 3200 PK and rifle rounds, 7 heavy machine gun rounds, ammunition vests and other equipment were taken as war booty.
