2 posts overrun in Dehrawod, 12 hirelings killed

URUZGAN, Jul. 28 – Amid the ongoing ‘Omari’ campaign, Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate launched coordinated attacks in on a strategic enemy outpost and surrounding check posts on Wednesday.

The clashes which are still ongoing today have so far resulted in 2 check posts being overrun, 12 gunmen killed inside and the rest forced to flee as well as 4 PKM machine guns, 3 RPG launchers, 5 US rifles, 12000 rifle rounds and other military equipment seized.

Similarly the equipment airdropped by helicopters for enemy forces also fell into the hands of Mujahideen.

Officials say that the enemy outpost is still under a tight siege with all supply routes cut-off, adding that so far 3 Mujahideen have also been injured.
