HELMAND, Feb. 06 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Masnouri’, Mujahideen assaulted an Arbaki check post close to Turabi Hotel area of Gerishk district, overrunning the check post after killing 10 minions, including a hireling commander – Shamsullah – and destroying 2 vehicles as well as dismantling the post while seizing 2 PKM machine guns, 1 RPG launcher, 3 rifles and other ammunition.
Meanwhile, enemy fresh reinforcement troops arriving the scene also came under Mujahideen attacks, killing a further 4 Arbakis gunmen and destroying a vehicle.
A Mujhid was also martyred in the crossfire.
