12 killed, APC seized as post overrun in Arghistan

KANDAHAR, Aug. 02 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Masnouri’, Mujahideen managed to overrun a hireling check post in Wam area of Arighistan district after an intense gunfight of heavy and light arms overnight, during which 12 puppets were killed and 3 different types of vehicles destroyed.
According to details, an APC, 1 Dshk, 1 mortar tub, 1 RPG launcher, 1 PKM machine gun, 4 rifles, 1 binocular and other war tools have been confiscated.
Later on, clashes erupted against enemy reinforcement arriving the scene and went through late afternoon hours, inflecting serious tolls on to enemy however exact numbers are unknown at the moment.
A Mujahid is said to have been martyred with 2 others wounded.
It must be mentioned that Mujahideen also got control over a hireling post in the surroundings of Maruf district of the same province overnight, killing 10 puppets and arresting another while seizing a sizable amount of military equipment.
