12 killed and wounded, 6 posts overrun as clashes underway in Faryab

FARYAB, June. 22 – Amid ongoing annual campaign ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen launched coordinated attacks on enemy bases in Tagabashan area at 6:00 pm local time on Tuesday, says Al Emarah news.

Attack of heavy and light arms are said to be ongoing, so far 6 check posts have been overrun, killing 8 gunmen inside while leaving 4 others wounded and forcing others to flee leaving behind corpses on the battle ground.

According to details 2 RPG’s, 5 rifles, 2 communication devices, 4 motorbikes and other war equipment have been seized in the successful operation.

Reports say 2 Mujahideen have been martyred and 4 others sustained minor injuries.
