KABUL, Oct. 12 – The Japanese Ambassador to Kabul Takashi Okada called on Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, yesterday.

Expressing gratitude to Japan for its humanitarian assistance, Minister Muttaqi called for Japan’s cooperation in Afghanistan’s infrastructure projects, stressing the completion of unfinished projects by the late Dr. Testu Nakamura.

Also, FM Muttaqi elaborated on IEA’s achievements in the economic sector, the approval of the government’s budget with no foreign aid, revenue collection, the fight against drugs, the treatment of drug addicts, and human rights.

To end, the Japanese Ambassador assured the continuation of Japan’s cooperation with the people of Afghanistan in various sectors, stressing more attention in the field of human rights.
