Jawzjan, Nov. 18 – As many as 9 water supply project in various villages of Shaberghan, the center of Jawzjan province, and Aqcha and Mangjak districts of the province have been completed and commissioned with the financial assistance of UNICEF and the office AHF, technical cooperation of ORD institute under supervision of the Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of that province.

Among these projects, 5 projects worth 22522000 Afghanis with the financial assistance of UNICEF and 4 project worth $144,589 with the financial assistance of AHF.

These projects have a length of 41,241 meters of pipelines, which include drilling of semi-deep wells, construction of reinforced concrete reservoirs with the installation of solar pump systems and door-to-door taps, which, by implementing the mentioned projects, will provide safe drinking water for 2,278 families.
