ZABUL, Jan. 27 – Accompanied by several central heads of the Ministry, the Head of Public Works of Zabul province, and technical engineers, Honorable Alhaj Mullah Muhammad Isa “Thani,” the Acting Minister of Public Works, inaugurated two bridges in Zabul province during their visit to the southwestern provinces of the country, says ministry of public works.

The Acting Minister of Public Works provided details about the bridges, stating that the first one, named Ghoshi Rabat, spans 34 meters in length and 8.7 meters in width, with a value exceeding 16 million Afghanis. The second bridge, called Sangar Manda, measures 42 meters in length and 8.7 meters in width, with a value exceeding 15 million Afghanis. Both bridges were constructed within a five-month period and are now operational.

The Acting Minister of Public Works further mentioned that the completion of these bridges marks significant progress on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, with most of the bridges now finished. The remaining bridges are expected to be completed soon.

It is important to note that the completion of these bridges will greatly alleviate transportation issues for both the local population and travelers along this highway, compared to the past.
