12 killed, 3 surrendered as 2 posts overrun in Shawalikot

KANDAHAR, Sep. 18 – Mujahideen carried out assaults on 2 enemy check post in Shatarin area of Shawalikot district overnight, resulting in both check posts were overrun after a brief resistance, killing 12 puppets on the spot and forcing the rest to flee.

It is said that 2 policemen and a hireling commander – Takar – have surrendered themselves.

13 rifles, 1 pistol and other war equipment was recovered from the check posts.

2 Mujahideen are said to have been wounded during the operation.
