10 killed, equipment seized as 2 posts overrun in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Oct. 24 – According to latest report from southern Kandahar province, Mujahideen assaulted 2 hireling outposts in Chahar Paw area of Ghorak district overnight.
Attacks of heavy and light arms, resulting in both posts overrun after killing 2 puppets and forcing the rest to flee leaving 2 corpses on the battle ground.
It adds, as many as 8 fleeing gunmen were killed after being chased by Mujahideen.
It is said that 2 PKM machine guns, 2 RPG launchers and other equipment has been recovered from the posts.
A Mujahid was also martyred in the operation.
Also in Ghorak district, 1 puppets was killed and another one seriously wounded when their patrol came under a Mujahideen landmine attack in Se Yalang area last midnight.
