BAGHLAN, Mar. 08 – Officials from Baghlan’s Ghori cement factories claim that since the purchase of new machinery, production has more than doubled.

 

Abdul Wakil Qayoumi, financial and administrative assistant of Ghori Cement Factory, told the local reporter of Bakhtar Agency that the production of Ghori Cement Factory was 300 tons per 24 hours during the previous government, but now with the purchase and installation of new machinery. Production increased to 600 tons in 24 hours.

 

Abdul Wakil Qayoumi, Ghori Cement Factory’s financial and administrative assistant, told Bakhtar News Agency’s local reporter that the factory’s production was 300 tonnes per 24 hours during the previous government, but has changed with the purchase and installation of new machinery therefore in 24 hours, production increased to 600 tonnes.

 

Abdulmatin Akhundzada, the head of Baghlan’s economy, told the media that new machinery for Ghori cement factories was bought from China and Iran worth 18 million AFN.

 

According to Ghori Cement Factory officials, these factories produce 6% of the cement required in Afghanistan, and if existing problems in machinery, electricity, and several other areas are resolved, production will be 1400 tonns in 24 hours, producing 14% of the country’s required cement.
