KABUL, Mar. 08 – Customs reached its revenue goal before the conclusion of the fiscal year as a result of the facilities the Ministry of Finance established in all of the nation’s customs, developments, and transparent revenue collection, announced ministry of finance on Wednaday.

 

For the fiscal year 1401, the General Directorate of Customs’ annual income goal has been set by the Ministry of Finance at 105 billion AFN.

 

On the 14th of this month of the current fiscal year, the General Department of Customs was able to achieve the stated objective, and up to 005 billion AFN in high customs revenues were received.

 

Whereas the amount of customs income collected in the fiscal year (1400) was 24 billion AFN, it was 72 billion AFN in the fiscal year (1399).

 

Before advent of Islamic Emirate, the country’s customs have never met the goal given by the Ministry of Finance. This is the first time that a high level of revenue has been collected from the country’s customs and that it has exceeded its target.

 

It is important to note that there are 15 days left in the current 1401 fiscal year, and that the revenue from customs will surpass 101 billion AFN before the end of the current fiscal year.
