KABUL, Jan. 28 – The anti-narcotics police have arrested 17 people in connection with drug trafficking and alcohol production, in 9 provinces, in last 4l24 hours, according to a statement of the ministry of interior.

Details say, 3 suspects have been held related to the smuggling of 42 kg hashish, amounting to 50,000 AFN and a rifle from Jawzjan, 2 people on charges of smuggling of 15 kg of hashish, 4 kg heroin, 200 loan tablets and other narcotics from Kabul, 4  others held due to the sale of narcotics from Bamiyan, 3 people were arrested from Baghlan, 1 person arrested in connection with the production of alcoholic beverages from Takhar and another 4 persons arrested in connection with the sale of narcotics from Paktika, Parwan, Khost and Farah provinces.
