Weapons and Ammunition Discovered, Seized in Takhar and Baghlan

Recent reports from the detection and intelligence officers of the 217th Life Corps reveal the discovery and recovery of a limited number of weapons and ammunition in Takhar and Baghlan provinces. A total of 46 miles of various types of light and heavy weapons, as well as ammunition, were found.

The recovered items include 23 Kalashnikov rifles, 5 handguns, 5 rifles, 1 M16 rifle, 4 American hand grenades, and a substantial quantity of ammunition. Additionally, an ammunition depot was uncovered in Takhar province, containing 18 rounds of S P G 9 shells, 11 rounds of rocket shells, 18 rounds of gunpowder, 8 boxes of large pica shells, and 11 boxes of small pica shells.

These discoveries are a testament to the efforts of the detection and intelligence officers in uncovering illegal weapons and ammunition, contributing to the maintenance of peace and security in the region.
