Sources of the Islamic Emirate have provided reliable reports that the Kabul administration once again seeks to execute and martyr political prisoners in order to avenge their military defeat and combatant casualties. Through this statement we are warning the relevant departments of Kabul regime of the following:

Firstly – we remind the regime’s military establishment that the killing of innocent and unarmed prisoners can never be part of a military strategy. Nor can they redeem their military losses through such cowardly acts. The theatre of duels is the battlefield, and there, acting in accordance with the laws of war, no one expects mercy from one’s enemy. The Islamic Emirate abides by the laws of war and believes in acting magnanimously with captured soldiers. In the past year alone, the esteemed Amir ul Mu’mineen Sheikh ul Hadith Hibatullah Akhundzada (May Allah SWT protect him) ordered the release of hundreds of regime prisoners, and as well as the treatment of injured soldiers before being released to their families’ custody.

Secondly – We remind the so-called justice and judiciary organs of the regime that you invariably indict and sentence those prisoners to death whom have been subjected to inhumane treatment including torture and other degrading practices, and have confessed under use or threat of force. Numerous reputable organizations have published reports proving that torture and forced confessions are common practices in the regime’s detainment and intelligence centers. The Independent Human Rights Commission’s latest reports admits this much. Sentencing prisoners to execution based on forced confessions can only be described as a grave crime against man’s natural rights. If you insist on continuing with this criminal behavior then the military commanders of the Islamic Emirate will prioritize the perpetrators of such crimes over other legitimate targets bringing these individuals in the crosshair of justice.

Finally we call upon all the human rights organizations of the world and the free media to prevent the regime from executing helpless prisoners, to expose their violations and lobby them to prevent the repetition of this heinous crime. If they insist on pleasing their foreign masters through such actions then the Islamic Emirate – in punishing the perpetrators of these crimes – will not be swayed by the criticisms, pleadings or rebuttals of anyone and nor should anyone expect the Islamic Emirate to show leniency in this matter.
