During a meeting between United Nations Special Envoy Roza Otunbayeva and the head of Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), Noor Ahmed Agha, the United Nations demonstrated its readiness to cooperate in the development of financial services, Islamic banking, and establishing connections with prominent institutions.

Recognizing the importance of expanding financial services to all regions of the country, Mr. Noor Ahmed Agha emphasized its significance for Afghanistan’s economic structure.

The Governor of the Bank of Afghanistan, pledged his commitment to providing financial services to all citizens, ensuring equal access to banking facilities. He further assured that provisions have been made for the disbursement of small loans to facilitate the realization of this goal.
