As a result of the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE and the Embassy of Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi, an agreement was reached to release 54 citizens from various prisons in the United Arab Emirates.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan thanks His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, for his initiative to release Afghan prisoners during this holy month of Ramadan, and considers this step a good manifestation of the maintenance of friendly bilateral relations with Afghanistan.
