Two entry gates leading into Herat city have been officially unveiled and put into operation, with a total cost of one million eight hundred thousand Afghanis, situated in the locations of “Police Road Islam Qala” and “Herat-Torghandi”.

The authorities responsible for the construction of these two entry and exit portals to Herat city have highlighted that these structures were constructed with the purpose of enhancing aesthetics and supporting security forces.

Representatives from the “Shams Kola” company, the manufacturer of these gates, have also revealed their intention to construct two additional gates in the southern region of Herat city and in the Karkh district. Meanwhile, Maulvi Nematullah Rahimi, the mayor of Injil district in Herat, has mentioned that these gates are outfitted with lighting systems and closed-circuit cameras, which will contribute to improved security measures.
