The initiative was graced by the presence of esteemed figures including Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy prime minister, Alhaj Mulla Abdul Latif Mansour, the Acting Minister of Water and Energy; Mawlawi Ahmadullah Zahid, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce; Dr. Abdul Bari Umar, the Executive Chairman of Afghanistan Electricity Company (DABS); and Dr. Farooq Azam, the Advisor to the Ministry of Energy, alongside other senior officials of the Islamic Emirate, heads of the Ministry of Water and Energy, and numerous residents of the region.

During the commencement of these endeavors, the Political Deputy of the Ministry of Energy highlighted the nation’s current power generation capacity, emphasizing that water management and household energy production development stand as key priorities for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Similarly, in his address at the inauguration, the Acting Minister of Water and Energy underscored the significance of these projects, stating that the Ministry of Water and Energy has successfully executed various public initiatives across different provinces, which the Afghan populace will soon witness come to fruition and benefit from.

Furthermore, the CEO of Afghanistan Electricity Company stressed the pivotal role of energy development in the country’s self-sufficiency, affirming the company’s unwavering commitment to advancing energy initiatives in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Energy.

Noteworthy is the fact that these projects are financially supported by private investments totaling 18.7 million US dollars from two domestic companies (Aufie Bahram, Green State Power-MB-RCC, and Naveen Simia) and are slated for completion over the course of several years.

Upon the successful completion of these ventures, approximately 250,000 residential and commercial customers in Kabul will have access to the benefits of electricity. Moreover, the implementation of these projects will pave the way for increased electricity absorption in Kabul, effectively addressing the electricity shortages faced by industrialists in the region.
