Strategic post overrun between Nawa and Marjah, 2 vehicles seized

HELMAND, Oct. 04 – At around 7:00 am local time today a hireling check post located on Lashkargah road between Nawa and Marjah districts was overrun after continuous attacks of Mujahideen, bringing a large and strategic area under the control of Mujahideen.

2 vehicles and a sizeable amount of war equipment seized during the operation.

It is mentionable that as many as 7 hireling posts have been overrun, 5 APCs destroyed and 23 gunmen killed or wounded in Marjah district today.
