Statement of the IEA’s Spokesperson Regarding Remarks of the Russian Defense Minister at the Shanghai Organization’s Meeting

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan rejects the statement of the Sergei Shoigu, defense minister of the Russian Federation that armed groups from Afghanistan are a major threat to the security of the Central Asian Countries.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan not only ensures security and stability in Afghanistan after years of war, but also contributes to security and stability in the region with its economy-oriented foreign policy and does not want any security threats to exist.

Officials of the Russian Government should understand that in the last two years, there has been no threat from Afghanistan to the security of the countries of the region and world, however, the security forces the Islamic Emirate have been able to defeat the remnants of the ISIS in Afghanistan with full determination.

The Islamic Emirate, as a responsible government, does not allow anyone to use the soil of Afghanistan against other countries and it expects other countries, especially the regional countries, not to allow those who enter Afghanistan with destructive purposes.
Regrettably, we must say that recent incidents in Afghanistan have been committed by citizens of some countries in the region, hence, considering the fact, it is important that the concerned governments should fulfill their responsibilities.
