Recent reports have brought to light instances of mistreatment towards Afghans residing in Iran, with distressing images circulating on social media, causing us deep concern.

The Ministry of Refugees and Returnees urges the establishment of a collaborative initiative between Iran and Afghanistan to address this issue and work towards a resolution.

Simultaneously, we call upon our Afghan compatriots to consider returning to their homeland voluntarily and with dignity. For those residing in Iran, it is essential to adhere to and respect the laws of the host nation.

As the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strives for positive relations with neighboring countries, we emphasize the importance of mitigating actions that may strain bilateral ties or fuel misleading narratives.
