KABUL, May. 15 – The Political Deputy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mawlawi Abdul Kabir met with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Afghanistan Mrs. Roza Otunbayeva and her delegation this afternoon in the presence of member of the political commission and acting head of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Khairullah Khairkhah .

At the beginning, the political deputy of PM thanked the delegation for the assistance of the United Nations to Afghanistan and said that the Islamic system has been established in the country and Afghans are living in a peaceful atmosphere.

He added, considering the achievements in different fields, the international community should have good interaction and understanding with the Islamic Emirate.

The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General insisted on understanding and the continuation of talks and gave information about the meeting in Doha two weeks ago under the leadership of the United Nations Secretary General and said that important topics were discussed. It happened and the representatives of the participating countries were interested in continuing the aid to Afghanistan and interacting with the Islamic Emirate.

The Acting minister of Information and Culture Mawlawi Khairullah Khairkhah expressed his gratitude for the decision of the United Nations to continue humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
