Mufti Mohammad Yousuf Saeedi, the spokesperson for the provincial governor, informed media that the leader of the TAPI initiative in Afghanistan held discussions with Sheikh Mawlana Islam Jar, the governor of Herat, and confirmed the swift progression of the pipeline venture.

Abdullah Youf, the Head of the TAPI Project in Afghanistan, presented a concise update on the TAPI project’s advancement to Governor Sheikh Maulana Islamjar of Herat. He expressed gratitude for the local administration’s supportive efforts in facilitating the project and announced that the extension of the gas pipeline would continue at a rapid pace, with six kilometers of pipelines already laid.

In response, Sheikh Maulana Islamjar commended the endeavors of the TAPI project officials in propelling the project forward and pledged complete cooperation to the Head of the TAPI Project in Afghanistan in ensuring the provision of essential amenities for the accelerated progress of the project.

TAPI stands as a significant natural gas transmission initiative that aims to construct a pipeline for transporting gas from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan, further extending into Pakistan and ultimately reaching India.
