KABUL, Feb. 12 – Today Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of promotion of virtue and prevention of vice Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Al-Hanafi, Hafiz Anas Haqqani, Member of the Delegation, welcomed Mr. Abdul Salam Rahimi, Minister of State for Peace Affairs of the former administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a member of the Delegation.
The Foreign Minister welcomed Mr. Rahimi to his homeland and assured him of a dignified life in his country.
The Foreign Minister also expressed concern over the living conditions of Afghans living in camps abroad and hoped that they would return home and live happily in their homeland.

Foreign Minister said differences of opinion are natural and the Islamic Emirate respected them, but religion and homeland is common to all and serving Afghanistan is the common goal of all.

Mr Rahimi said: “I am glad to come back to my country and the positive change of the new government is commendable.

Mr. Rahimi called on the authorities to be more courageous and tolerant in the face of the challenges ahead and the efforts of the Emirati authorities, adding that the new government has kept things running smoothly. Mr Rahimi said there were no significant threats or obstacles at home or abroad at the moment.
It may be recalled that in this meeting, Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Al Hanafi and Mr. Hafiz Anas Haqqani in turn welcomed Mr. Rahimi and expressed their happiness over his return to the country.
