The provincial governor stated that a delegation, led by Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, the Chief of Staff of the armed forces, has visited Nimroz province to address refugee issues.
During the visit, the delegation engaged with local officials and committee members to assess and resolve the problems faced by refugees. They assured that the concerns of returnees would be thoroughly investigated, and necessary actions would be taken in collaboration with the provincial administration.
Governor Sheikh Mohammad Qasim Khalid of Nimroz mentioned that 1,500 jeribs of land had been earmarked for establishing a settlement for returnees in the province, with the construction set to commence shortly. Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat also confirmed that the land distribution process for returnees in Nimroz would kick off soon.
Notably, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing disclosed that the Islamic Emirate has designated 28,000 jeribs of land for impoverished returnees across nine provinces in the country.
