KABUL, Dec. 25 – A meeting entitled “Waiver of Tex penalties and support for industry and trade’ held today by ministry of industry and commerce of the IEA in Kabul at ARG today,

Addressing the meeting Mullah Abdul Ghani Barader the economic deputy prime minister of the IEA said, taxes play a vital role in ensuring the national income of a country.

Taxes create national budgets and ensure the security, public services and welfare of the people. Any transparency through which the revenue of the emirate do not lost nor imposed unnecessary financial pressure on the industrialists and traders.

The five-year three-year audits by the Ministry of Finance and the issue of extending the licenses have created hurdles for businessmen. They demand that tax clearances be for one year. They should not be deprived of any of rights. In this regard, we request the Ministry of Finance to create a basic solution for the mentioned problems and present its executive mechanism to the Economic Commission of the IEA.

It is appropriate to assure the industrialists and businessmen of Afghanistan that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is trying its best to find basic solutions to your problems and facilitate your commercial activities.

Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, called the wavier of tax penalties by the Islamic Emirate a step toward supporting businessmen and industrialists, and asked the people to pay their taxes on time.

Addressing the taxpayers, Hanafi said: “Your taxes are used for the treatment of the sick patients, support of orphans, payment of government employees’ salaries, salaries of security and defense forces, treatment of addicts and used gor other public services.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the IEA, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi expressed that as  Mujahideen did their responsibility for the country’s freedom and security, now the national businessmen should make sacrifices for the economic self-sufficiency of the country.

The Ministry of Finance is striving to provide better services to all citizens, especially businessmen and industrialists, and will provide them more facilities.

Afghanistan is the only country, where tax penalties are waived, said the Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Nooruddin Azizi.

He asked operational companies and investors to pay their taxes on time for Afghanistan’s self-sufficiency.

In the end of the program, the officials appreciated those companies who paid their taxes on time and fulfilled rules and procedures of the Islamic Emirate.
