HELMAND, Mar. 23 – Reports arriving from southern Helmand province state that, Sangin district administration center, police headquarter and a key military base was completely overrun by Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate last night.
The said district administration was under tight siege of Mujahideen for the last month with dozens of enemy personnel inside, who fled by airplanes overnight, leaving many tanks, vehicles, heavy artillery and a sizable amount of military equipment behind.
Enemy has bombarded the said installations after escaping.
According to details, as many as 29 APCs, 1 armored tank, 34 ranger pickups, 7 other vehicles, 8 tractors, 2 oil tankers, 7 power generators and other military equipment has been recovered by Mujahideen.
