In a significant development, more than one thousand families residing in the remote area of Kuhsan district now have access to safe drinking water.

The water supply project in Kamaneh village, Kehsan district, was officially inaugurated and put into operation. The ceremony saw the presence of the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, the Governor of Herat, as well as officials from rural rehabilitation and development and telecommunications departments, along with numerous village elders and influential figures.

 

Honorable Maulvi Mohammad Yunus Akhundzadeh, the Minister of Rural Development and Rehabilitation of the country, emphasized that besides the water supply project, there is a strong focus on constructing check dams in underprivileged regions. The minister highlighted that check dam construction is underway in all districts across the provinces.

 

Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hijrat, the head of rural development, further explained that approximately 1,200 families will benefit from this particular water supply project. The initiative is a significant step towards improving the lives of the local community by ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water.
